As a volunteer teacher with the Global Citizen Program, I've had the privilege of traveling to Greece through other educational travel organizations as well. While each experience has been meaningful, the Athens and the Greek Islands program with the Global Citizen Program truly stood apart. What impressed me most was the balance of the itinerary. It wasn't just a history tour or a sightseeing vacation. Students experienced an incredible blend of historical learning, cultural immersion, exploration, relaxation, and countless opportunities for friendship building and memory-making. Every day offered something different, allowing students to appreciate Greece's rich past while also enjoying the beauty of the islands and the joy of traveling together. The Global Citizen Program is exceptionally well organized and detail oriented. Traveling internationally always comes with the possibility of unexpected challenges, but the leadership team handled every situation with professionalism, flexibility, and efficiency. Whether it involved travel logistics or itinerary adjustments, they adapted quickly while keeping students' safety and experience the top priority. One of the most rewarding parts of the trip was watching our students come together. We had a wonderful mix of middle and high school students from states all across the United States, yet within days they became fast friends. You would never have guessed they had just met or that they represented different age groups. They supported one another, laughed together, explored together, and created friendships that I believe will last long after the trip ended. As an educator, there is nothing more rewarding than watching students grow in confidence, curiosity, and independence while experiencing another part of the world. The Global Citizen Program creates an environment where those moments happen naturally, and I am incredibly grateful to have been part of this journey. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Athens and the Greek Islands program to any student, family, or educator looking for an unforgettable educational travel experience.

My daughter traveled to Costa Rica with the Global Citizen Program, and she didn't just have a wonderful time; she was also pushed outside her comfort zone in a supportive, nurturing environment. I was blown away by everything the team packed into nine days. Every single day had an element of education, cultural exchange, adventure, and fun. The organization and communication from the Global Citizen team were above and beyond, both leading up to the trip and throughout it. My daughter got home a few days ago, and the stories keep coming: the things she learned, the food she tried, the people she met. This was such a worthwhile experience for my 14-year-old, who came back with more confidence and a broader perspective on the world. I can't recommend this program and their team enough.

WOW! Just wow!! Once again, the key to it all was the "team" -- Herson is without a doubt the best guide we could dream of, and while we missed Miguel a bunch (it was great to bump into him and catch up), Willy was awesome! The new itinerary was AMAZING, and I would love to talk with any potential other schools about copying it. The sequence of events was PERFECT . . . it was definitely fantastic starting out with the more serious/academic/more-focused things (city-tour, visiting the school, cooking lesson) towards the front, and then moving to the zip-line/horse/tubing adventure towards the end, and then finishing out on the boat and beach . . . the energy-flow was spot-on, and I wouldn't do it any other way moving forward. Thanks for an amazing trip and experience, and please never hesitate to put people in touch with me if they need a recommendation, happy to help others find the same magic that we did!!

We had a magical experience. Each day was filled with wonder and adventure. Our guide Manny, being a local from Cusco, was able to give us a very personal experience of his culture. His knowledge of Incan culture and tradition was plentiful. You could sense his excitement when he shared his native language and culture Quechua. The food was almost more than you could eat, each course peruvian influcened. Special care was given for our students with dietary needs and allergies. Each night our students went to sleep exhausted, and excited for the next day's adventure.
